From a heartfelt tribute to "the captain" legacy in 2022, Ad Sidera Semper has blossomed into a vibrant celebration of life, music, and wellness.
The inaugural festival, held in Bocas del Toro, Panamá, was conceived as a three-day homage to values of respect, brotherhood, and a passion for nature, the sea, the stars, and electronic music. It was a recognition that life, though fleeting, deserves to be celebrated in the present moment.
Inspired by the celestial guidance of the stars, the festival sought to create a space where attendees could connect with their inner selves, find peace, and feel a sense of belonging. The name itself, "Ad Sidera Semper" (To the stars always), reflects this aspirational theme and the inherent human connection to the cosmos.
Bocas del Toro, a hidden gem in Latin America, provided the perfect backdrop for this transformative experience. Its natural beauty, combined with the pulsating rhythms of electronic music, created an atmosphere of magic and wonder.
Over the years, Ad Sidera Semper has evolved, expanding its reach and impact.
The 2023 edition saw the festival embrace the energy of a solar eclipse with a special DJ set of Jan Blomqvist, further solidifying its connection to the celestial.
In 2024 expanded to Red Frog beach, featuring 25 artists and an electrifying and forever memorable 5-hour set by Hernan Cattaneo.
By 2025, Ad Sidera Semper has become a five-day immersive journey, incorporating a diverse range of wellness activities, from yoga and meditation to enriching ceremonies.
The festival now kicks off with a special night in Panama City before transporting attendees to the idyllic setting of Bocas del Toro, where beachfront stages, the enchanting Coralina hotel, and even a floating bar on the ocean provide unique venues for a diverse lineup of international and national artists.
The festival's core pillars – music, wellness, nature, art, and community – have become deeply intertwined, creating a holistic experience that nourishes the mind, body, and soul.
