BOCAS DEL TORO


Escape to the vibrant archipelago of Bocas del Toro, Panama, a jewel of the Caribbean brimming with pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and thriving coral reefs. This ecological paradise, home to diverse marine life and vibrant cultures, sets the stage for Adsidera Semper 2025.

GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL


Getting to Ad Sidera Semper Festival is easy, whether you're coming from abroad or within Panama. Remember, the festival begins with a special first night in Panama City on October 31st, before moving to Bocas del Toro from November 1st-5th.

FROM COSTA RICA

Fly: Limited flights are available from San José to Bocas del Toro. Check SANSA and Aerobell. Shuttle: Caribe Shuttle offers service from San José to Bocas del Toro (about $80, 6 am departure, 4 pm arrival). Drive/Bus: Cross the border at Sixaola/Guabito, then take a bus or drive to Changuinola and Almirante. From Almirante, a water taxi will get you to Bocas Town.

FROM ABROAD

1. Fly to Panama City: Your international flight should land at Tocumen International Airport (PTY). Copa Airlines is the official airline of Panama with a 10% discount: Using code: B9464   2. Transfer to Albrook Airport: You'll need to get to Albrook "Marcos A. Gelabert" International Airport (PAC) for your domestic flight. A taxi costs around $25, Uber is usually less, and a shuttle is about $37. Give yourself at least 2.5-3 hours for the transfer and immigration.   3. Fly to Bocas del Toro: Air Panama and FlyTrip fly from Albrook (PAC) to Bocas del Toro "Isla Colon" International Airport (BOC). Flights typically range from $75 to $150.

WITHIN PANAMÁ

From Panama City: Fly from Albrook (PAC) to Bocas del Toro (BOC) with Air Panama or FlyTrip. An overnight bus to Almirante is a cheaper option (10-12 hours, around $35), followed by a taxi and water taxi to Bocas Town on Isla Colon. Driving is also possible (8-9 hours plus ferry), but road conditions can be challenging. Consider parking in Almirante and taking the ferry.   From David: A bus from David to Almirante takes about 3.5 hours ($8-$20), followed by a water taxi to Bocas Town. Driving is similar to the route from Panama City.


Important Reminders:  

Bocas del Toro Airport (BOC) is on Isla Colon: Don't confuse it with other airports in the province.

Ferry to Isla Colon: Operates Tuesday-Sunday, leaving Almirante at 7 am and Bocas Town at 3 pm (2-hour journey).

Book in Advance: Especially during peak season.

Road Conditions: Can be difficult, especially when it rains.

October 31st

(Panamá City):


Daytime: Arrive in Panama City and explore! Discover the historic Casco Viejo district, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander its colorful streets, admire the colonial architecture, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Other options include visiting the Panama Canal, enjoying the Cinta Costera waterfront promenade, or exploring the Metropolitan Natural Park. Evening: Get ready for an unforgettable opening night party! We're bringing the Ad Sidera Semper vibe to Panama City for one night only with a stellar lineup of artists. The venue will be announced soon. Package holders will be staying at the Hotel Casa Panama in Casco Viejo.

November 1st

(Travel to Bocas del Toro):


Morning: Fly from Albrook "Marcos A. Gelabert" International Airport (PAC) in Panama City to Bocas del Toro "Isla Colon" International Airport (BOC). (See our Travel FAQ for details on getting to Bocas del Toro). Afternoon: Check into your accommodations and get ready to embrace the paradise of Bocas del Toro! Evening: Opening Ceremony

November 2nd-4th

(Bocas del Toro):


Mornings: Start your day with revitalizing holistic activities like yoga, meditation, and sound healing sessions. Connect with yourself and nature in this tranquil setting. Daytime: Explore the breathtaking Bocas del Toro archipelago. Embark on a boat trip to the pristine Zapatilla Cayes, two idyllic islands within the Bastimentos National Marine Park. Snorkel, dive, swim in crystal-clear waters, or simply relax on the white-sand beaches. Other island adventures await! Evenings: As the sun sets over the Caribbean, the music heats up. Dance the night away under the stars with world-class DJs at our beautiful beachfront venues.


November 5th

(Departure from Bocas):


Depart from Bocas del Toro "Isla Colon" International Airport (BOC).
